I have had considerable trouble with it recently. I posted about it the other day. In a rather embarrassing story, it abruptly stopped working so I re-downloaded it, tried rebuilding it from scratch, went on the phone with apple support remote access, tried in safe mode, tried in a new user account. Eventually I realised (because of a bug, or a mistake by me) in my daily notes there was an extra space in between the day and the date! I deleted it, and voila. Everything working fine again. Woops!
That said, it wasn’t just my silliness. Apple Shortcuts is a QUAGMIRE of bugs right now, people have been using workarounds for years without anything being fixed. Apple notes is also buggy. My home note inexplicably duplicated itself the other day, resulting in me having to re-append every single note with a new home note link.
So it may be user error, it may be a bug, but give us a few more details and let’s see if we can help you out! Have you tried rebuilding the shortcut?
