thomas_h Have you installed the ✱ Journal already? This looks like the tag #ForeverNotes doesn’t exist in your system yet.

imabookwyrm In your Calendar app you have the option to display week numbers, that might be helpful.

Matthias Thanks. I do have the weeks showing. I think it's just not an automatic thing for me yet. I've never had to pay attention to the number of the week, so it doesn't come naturally. But I'm willing to try it. I can always learn new things. 🙂 Thanks for all of the resources you provide. Bullet journaling is the only thing that has ever worked for me--BUT--my ADHD self doesn't always remember to carry my notebook with me--and with Forever Notes, I don't have to put it on the shelf when it gets full. I can have continuity.

Thanks for the hint. It was the missing #ForeverNotes tag.
Every single note of mine has one of four "main" tags:
- #area #journal #project #ressource

And I'm still interested in an overview of the usage of my tags. :-)

imabookwyrm In my case it's on the Mac. You see the three dots in the upper left corner. But perhaps the result is the same on iPhone/iPad when you don't have the tag #ForeverNotes.

Sadly you're incorrect about my supposed lack of 'courtesy' - I read the thread, and there is no link to the W+1 shortcut, only the create weekly notes and get the current week's note. However, I was able to create my own shortcut so in the spirit of helpfulness can now share it for @thomas_h and others searching for it:

does anybody know, how I can get the "W+1" shortcut running?
I tried the following, but the date is already formatted as text, so my attempt (adding a 1 to the text) cannot work.

I'm having the same thoughts re: doubling the top line of links! I like your solution of just having the arrows for back and next. I have bitten the bullet and made two lines, with back and next on the bottom. (see my 'today's note' attached).

Another thing I may borrow from your setup is renaming the month link to the actual month, which means I can just use the first three letters of the month.

Still haven't quite decided what to do in monthly view - as I'd like to include all the links in such a way that doesn't look too cluttered, and in such a way that it lines up neatly for an iPhone screen.

Interested to hear about how people are dealing with these mini puzzles!

Unfortunately, it's not quite so simple with the weekly overview.
While completing the form, I noticed that something is wrong in the quarterly overview.
For example, January 2026 has five calendar weeks.

the name of the shortcut goes after the equals sign!
