I actually think they work fine on both dark and loght mode as is, since the colors are more of a gray tone… but i inverted the colors and made these

Just setting up my system with cover images for faster recognition … (for Home and Hubs only - because those are often used).

Ist there any recommended cover image size ? Currently using 4056 x 670 px (72dpi), working on an iMac - otherwise cover image gets a bit blurred.

There is no recommended size, only the provision of the header images by Matthias. I would say whatever makes sense for the respective user. I have been using Apple Notes without a header "for decades" and will keep it that way. Thus these header pictures are more a gimmick to me, but I understand your point and desire for a certain optic.

Sure. Kind of playing a bit.

I will modify header colors as well (red to blue or to green or to…) for the different areas (hubs). The brain will quickly be trained without reading the headline of a note in which area your are (same with Matthias cover images - the heart immediately triggers the health area)

Gotcha. I would be delighted if you could share some of the results then- the fact that I haven't used anything like this yet doesn't mean that I wouldn't be inspired by your ideas ✌🏼.
