Journal for next year, clarification.

Hi I set-up the Journal using the short-cut and created the links. Just wanted to know. What happens next year? When I want to continue the Journal next year how does that work. Do I use the shortcut again?

No need to run the shortcut again. You’ll just put a new header (2026) at the top of each daily journal note. THat way when you open 01 January, you can add new material at the top and see what you did on the same day during previous years below

Sorry, I'm not sure how that works. I started using FN last June and did not really use 2025 anywhere. Where do I differentiate next year's notes/next years notes? As far as I know none of my daily journal entries have a year. I guess I need more specificity.

If you look at my setup, I use a collapsible sub-heading called “2025” under Books, Concerts etc. I’ve done the same for my Social Circles, where I note for each person.

For example, under Friends, if you and I were friends, I would have a note with your name. If we ran into each other today, the note would include a collapsible sub-heading “2025” where I would write “we met and what we talked about”. Next year, if we met again, I would add a new collapsible sub-heading “2026” above 2025 and write the new notes there.
And the same goes for my journal entries.
