Sure… here is a screenshot of my home page with my 7 goals for the year. The second screenshot is for Goal #6 which centers around my LEGO art. That goal note links to individual projects. Those project notes start with an emoji to represent the status of the project. The red circle is an incomplete project and the check mark indicates a completed status. I also use the stop sign emoji for projects that get put on hold or are blocked in some way
So no matter where else I have linked to those projects (journals, quarterly planning, etc..), they will show as completed whenever I change the emoji.
Once I complete a goal, I will also update that emoji to a checkmark
I’ve been using this emoji system for well over a year and it’s just second nature to me now. The visual cues are so helpful when searching as well.
I’ve been branching out and adding emojis to other types of notes, but I don’t have a full system in play for those yet.
