Daily Note have "Today" link options in the breadcrumb?

I have not understood the purpose of "Today" as one of the breadcrumb options in the Daily Note. Since Today's note is already the open one, the link does not serve any purpose. I feel that it is redundant. Or maybe I am missing out on some possible use of that.

Any suggestions, please @Matthias?

yjadon I find myself going back to previous day notes quite often and this is when the Today links comes in handy to just go back to today with one tap.

And what about "today" in ✱ Home? What it supposed to be linked to?

Maniek It's supposed to link to todays date in the journal, same as everywhere else. Just use the same shortcut link everywhere it says Today, and things will be setup properly,
It's simply a fast way to quickly get to todays date.
