Hi Matthias, I am Hauke and a long time searcher for the right tool:
I started with MS OneNote and years ago switched to EverNote… which had a nice interface… but to manage all the clutter from collecting a ton of stuff from a business point of view to technical to private stuff… it just become overwhelming. I learned PARA, and the bulleted journal method.
I then started using Notion, where I found to database idea quite useful. But not perfect and somehow slow sometimes as everything is in the cloud. Then I switched to Obsidian for the last 2 years… also there: loads of plugins and nice ideas… but the vaults got huge after a while… also I was not willing to pay for the syncing variant… and now found your smart approach Matthias!
Great job and great idea. I will report on my experience then - currently setting it up ;-)
