May I be bold and sugest a new tool in the Forever Notes concept? This is a work in progress and I would be very grateful for suggestions and solutions from the forum.
I have just started a few weeks ago and I am constantly amazed how this framework makes my notes ”come alive”. A big thanks to Matthias Hilse for making such a great system.
I use my notes for a lot of reasons but maybe the most important is learning new skills. Through active recall one can commit this new knowledge to memory in an orderly manner. On top of that this process would enable a revision of notes to link, hub, discard, merge etc.
I need a system go trough my notes at specific intervalls. I am not an expert on active recall but after 1, 7, 14, 28, 56, 112, 224, 448 days would certainly be a good interval.
Not all notes need to be in this ”rotation”, a tag of #AR will make the note eligible to be recalled/revised. Sadly this "feature" inhibits the revision part of the concept somewhat.
I set out to make a Smart Folder that every day single out the notes with a #AR tag and exactly 7 days ago. Sadly the Notes program doesn’t enable boolean search criteria. I can make a list that single out the notes from the past 7 days but not exactly from 7 days ago.
I tried to make a process in ”Shortcuts” to single out notes from exactly 1, 7, 14, 28, 56, 112, 224, 448 days but sadly my programming skills leaves a lot to be desired and I have not been able to do that. Does any programmer have a solution for this?
