Journal or not?

I know there are many that have skipped creating the journal or have thought it’s a bit silly when you’ve got a journal app on iPhone etc. However, I use the journal as a daily planner page. Having used chat GPT to craft my ideal log (which is a page I work from daily…and I’m still developing it!), I think it’s brilliant. I’ve renamed my ✱ Home page to show daily log. I couldn’t go back to Notion now. I’ve attached a picture of part of my template, just in case it can inspire others.

I also use ProNotes as a way of storing and generating the template which makes things even easier. I wonder what others think?

Given my need for maximum simplicity combined with maximum functionality, a note-taking app for journaling or to-do list management is really out of the question for me. What's more, Notes is lagging more and more.

Still, it sounds like an interesting combination. I think I've read something like this here in the forum before. Thus I'm sure your approach will interest quite a few forum members.

Many thanks for the comment, it’s great when others reply, even if it’s not in agreement, it can really foster a sense of community.

For me, it really simplifies the daily process, one app for to-do’s, and daily commitments, and no other app to consult. Although, I have to say, I keep my personal thoughts in the Journal app.

what i will say though is, I completely agree re the lag, I’m experiencing the same. It would be great if Apple could make the app feel more robust!!
