“Open Today’s Note” Shortcut messed up

How come nobody talking about the “Open Today’s Note” shortcut stopped working in IOS and therefore the entire thing becomes almost unusable…

I haven’t had any problems on my Mac until today, when I updated to Tahoe 26.1 — now the “Open Today’s Note” shortcut suddenly doesn’t work on Mac anymore, even though it still works fine on my iPhone.

CatarinaDK Does it still work when Notes is already running?

I run it from the the notes app - and until yesterday it worked perfectly. Photo example - I go to yesterdays note and press on (I dag) whitch have this link shortcuts://run-shortcut?name=Open%20Today%E2%80%99s%20Note - and now it don't work. I even tried to rename the shortcut with differents '´ but it didn't help.

CatarinaDK Your day note "3. november" should be "03. november", maybe that's the problem?

From the beginning I have change the shortcut dat to speciel and dd. MMMM - so that can’t be the problem and it worked since April 😊

Matthias Yes 😀 I just noticed that when I run the shortcut manually I works, but its not from the shortcut link - odd - and I'm sil using this: shortcuts://run-shortcut?name=Open%20Today%E2%80%99s%20Note

Ok, I got the shortcut from the Resourses and overwrite the old one - shot the notes and testartede min Mac, and now it works - don't know why. But a long as it works 😀

Trying again. The forevernotes link to "open Today's Note" on my Mac and IOS devices opens a Note that was created on this date. March 8. How can I resolve this. Thank you.

RubyTopaz I’m having the same issue since I updated to iOS 26.4. When I use the Today note shortcut, it takes me to a completely different note.

I updated my MacBook to Tahoe 26.4 last night and clicking the Today link in any note opens the monthly March note, every time. Running the Open Today's Note directly from Shortcuts also displays the monthly March note.

Will try to troubleshoot later and reply back.

LucianHuang Today my “Open Today” shortcut malfunctioned too! Turns out the mistake was on my end! I had not set up the daily note with the title “05 April”—but only “5 April”. Adding the zero to the note fixed, since the instruction in the shortcut is for “dd mmmm”.

Open Today Note not working. Not sure if it is iOS 26.4 that is doing it, but when I open Today Note, it keeps opening April note instead of 05 April

Imori Edit your shortcut like this and it will work. IOS 26.4 is the culprit
