Notes sync across iOS devices but not links

So I have everything set up on iPhone but although everything syncs to my Mac and iPad ok, anything that is a link to a note (normally yellow link) is just greyed out on the other devices. Anything that is a URL link seems fine though! My iPad and Mac are older than my new iPhone, but surely this type of successful linkage isn;t just a recent thing?

stormsnout79 Linking to notes only works since iOS 17, if I recall correctly.

mettlerr ah, that would explain it - an odd thing not to work. Old iPad Pro can't go beyond 16 and my Mac is also older Intel one. Time to upgrade :-)

Similar problem with my links. All work fine on the iPad, but on the iPhone none of the journal links work (the links in other sections work)

Both devices, iPhone 16 & iPad Pro on iOS 18.2.1

Hey! So, my main issue with Apple Notes right now (aside from the missing version control) is that I can't use the note links because not all my Apple devices are the latest models. I have a few workarounds, but they're not super convenient. Is anyone else using the system without the note links?

Alex True. I suffer from major inconviences since inauguration of iOS 18 in September last year too. Notes app lagged incredibly (iOS and MacOS), showed indecent loading times and other irrational behaviour. Apple did pretend to care, but did not for months.

Potentially some interesting words for those who are extremely keen to stuff everything they have into just this one app. 😉

Hi all. Me too.

Even though I have devices all updated to the latest version, when I update a note on iPad it doesn't sync with the iPhone and vice versa.

In many cases it tells me that the note does not exist or it appears to me like this

Ideas?

Same here... I spent 4 hours creating an AppleScript that extracts data from a table in a base note, creates a separate note, and automatically generates a link to it—only to realize that I can't see these links on my iPhone or iPad...

Additionally, I noticed that when I try to create a link inside a table on my iPhone, it appears at the top of the note instead of inside the text within the table cell...

All devices on newest beta systems
