Here are two ways I’ve adapted the Open Home Note Shortcut.
I love the FN system for how the links change the way we navigate our Apple notes. However, I still have the habit of swiping back with my left thumb. I’m sure I’m not the only one!
To get around this (while I rewire my brain to navigate using only links) I have adapted my ‘Open Home Note’ shortcut to open the forever notes smart folder (collection) before opening the Home note. This means if I swipe back with my thumb it takes me to the main forever notes collection which contains all of my main hubs which are tagged with the forever notes tag. Previously, it would take me to the ‘all iCloud’ folder which wasn’t optimal. Hope this helps!
In addition, I’ve also made the shortcut sense whether it’s iOS or Mac. If it’s Mac, the note opens, but then runs a custom keyboard shortcut to open it in full screen, eliminating the side bar. This was a bit fiddly and I had to use Chat GPT to help me either some scripting, but it works wonderfully.
hope that is of interest! Thanks ✱
