journalling in forever notes

I have been using forever notes for several months. The one part that has not become easy to do it journalling. I can open today's not, and inset a time and date stamp and start typing, but that seems very manual. Is there a shortcut or other system to make quick journal notes on the fly, with a time and date stamp? I am looking for best practices or great ideas on managing my journal entries in Forever Notes

Yes, of course. Quite a few things have already been automated here. As far as I remember, there are also shortcuts for automatically adding something like a date. I don't have a direct reference, but maybe you could just use the forum search?

The most obvious reason: Because this is a usage far away from the intended use of a note-taking app. 😉

I find journalling in the day pages clunky for a lot of reasons. For one, it makes it really hard to revisit specific thoughts unless you can remember the dates that you made them.

The solution I found is having a separate 'Journal' page that I use for all entries. I use a shortcut that appends the date and location to the end of that page and I start writing underneath. All the entries are on the same page, so I can just scroll back in time to revisit past entries.
