Hi,
I’ve only been using Forever✱Notes since April 3rd this year, but I absolutely love it! All my notes are nicely organized and easy to find.
I’ve been journaling since day one – something I’ve always wanted to do but never actually managed to stick with.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time making it work the way I wanted. I used the "Today Prep" shortcut by @douglangille and adjusted it to my liking. I had never used Shortcuts — until two weeks ago — so it took some time, with help from the awesome people I’ve come across on Reddit.
Long story short:
– I added Low–High to the temperature.
– I deleted all the parts I don’t use and added "No appointment" instead of leaving a blank space on days without any appointments, and I added the time for the appointment in the same line after the appointment.
– I added a section for reminders – it pulls a list called Husk ("Remember") from the Reminders app, showing only items due today. They're formatted as a checklist, just like the native style in Notes. I also added "No Reminders" instead of leaving a blank when there aren’t any.
– At the bottom of my "Start My Day" shortcut, I implemented one shortcut: "Today’s Dinner" – also pulled from the Reminders app. The reason I haven’t integrated "Today’s Dinner" into "Start My Day" is because I’m not sure I’ll be keeping it.
At 00:01, the "Start My Day" shortcut runs automatically via automation. Just remember to run it manually at least once before the scheduled time, as it requires confirmation.
