Folders and Project

Hi ,

I’m starting to work with Forever Notes and i can’t understand what i schooled to do

Do you also use regular folders when creating a project? I understand how smart folders work, but I canâ€™t figure out how to create projects. Should I first create a folder for a given project and store all related notes there, or should I create loose notes and not place them in a folder, just link them together?

Can you give me some examples.

PaweBuliski Hi Pablo, For projects I have a main note for each project and I create reciprocal links to any additional notes related to the project. I tag the main project notes with #project (and #active if the project is active) so I can easily see a collection of active projects. No need for conventional folders.

PaweBuliski I do several approaches. I either a main Project note with any relevant notes linked to the main note (emulating the ✱ Home note or Hubs) or make a Collections Smart Folder for the project, and tag each. For example, have a Projects Collection (which is a Smart Folder with #project main notes) and then have specific collections for #RoofRepair or #WebsiteRedesign

Personally, I’m more of a Hub-style, main Project note guy:

Hello Pablo,

You ask about folders for projects. These are visibly not provided on the forevernotes website or videos -thus not initial part of this approach. Nevertheless, it seems that everyone here lives the forevernotes approach a little differently. If you enter the topic ‘Project’ in the forum search, you will already find some examples.
