I am playin with Forever Notes. I made a first connection, I like it. However, it worked for me only on my iPhone (14 Pro, 18.4), however it is not syncin with my iMac macOS Ventura 13.7.5 and not with my iPad (9.7, 16.7.9). The text is there, but the note cannot be opened.

Maybe my mistake.

RomanTirler Linking notes arrived on the Mac with Sonoma MacOS 14. The behavior you see is what can be expected. Can your Mac upgrade to Sonoma? Mine is too old, I can still use Notes on my Mac without damaging the notes.

Your iPad probably needs iPadOS 14, I would have to verify that.

RomanTirler macOS 14 Sonoma became available on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The latest version, macOS 14.6.1, was released on August 7, 2024. If you want to install the operating system update you will only be able to do so on one of these Macs:

iMac from 2019 and later

Mac Pro from 2019 and later

iMac Pro from 2017

Mac Studio from 2022 and later

MacBook Air from 2018 and later

Mac mini from 2018 and later

MacBook Pro from 2018 and later

Hi Roman,

As far as I can't recognise a question, nice that you try forevernotes and found (into) the forum.

Other than that, you may check the iCloud-Synchronisation on your devices; as this is definitely not normal behaviour of the Notes app.

Hi There,

You were quite right it is a iCloud syncing problem. If I check my iCloud Drive in the finder: "iCloud is not syncing, There are pending items to sync". I have. this problem on my iMac since quite some time, it did no bother me, because Notes entries are synced on all my devices. Back to Forever* Notes, I can see what I did on my iPhone:

CRSutil - the item is not clickable

: does not work.

I will try to settle the nasty syncing problem.

Thanks a lot, I cannot upgrade my old iPad, the same is true for my 2017 iMac. I am using also a MacBook Pro running Sequoia. Will try it there.
