I find the shortcut ** difficult to get to in my iPhone: gotta hit 123 key then symbol key, then I have a keyboard with the * sign. Any suggestions to add a shortcut to the shortcut?

jahumada55 You can chose any key combination as the shortcut. Just make sure it’s something you don’t usually type.

Maybe use tripple O for example. I can't think of many occasions where you need to write three O:s in a row 🙂

I have the same issues. For the heavy asterisk I use 'xas' and for >> I use 'xgt'. So far no stray symbols have popped up in my typing but entering this reply was a challenge!

I wanted something that I could easily type on the iOS keyboard and my standard QWERTY keyboard while on my Mac so I set mine to the letters hvy.

I like it because I don’t ever type that because it’s not a word and because of its phonological structure and orthographic similarity.

I also couldn’t use ** anyway because my task management app uses that adding markdown bold syntax.
